Item Description

A 1.4 cm, sharp, carrollite cuboctahedron is dramatically set in a sculptural corner vug with a striking, strange looking, 2.0 cm, furrowed, lustrous, metallic bornite crystal. The nearly pristine, splendent silver-metallic crystal has remarkable form and the superb silver-metallic lustre that is characteristic of this rare Cu-Co-Ni sulfosalt. The vug is artistically set in a large blocky calcite cleavage, that hosts patches of golden chalcopyrite sections and more metallic-gray bornite sections. Old material from early 2000s finds at the Kamoto Principal Mine. Ex Garcia and Sanabria Collections.
