Carving, Agate Bowl / Soapdish / Dish (ex Willard Wulff Collection)

Item Description

A cool old time carved bowl / dish / soapdish made of solid banded Agate from Brazil with colors ranging from silvery-blue to golden, caramel, tan and beige, and when backlit, the color glows with rich warm hues. This piece dates back at least 40 years and probably closer to 50 years. This carving comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936.
