Item Description

Rather exceptional crystals of the rare hydrous (Mn, Mg)-silicate Caryopilite from the famous Nchwaning Mine. Normally unattractive, these Caryopilites go against the type: the attractive sub-mm bladed crystals are chocolate-brown, translucent, and some have very good luster, almost hinting at gemminess. Combine these with the sparkly, deep pink, and gemmy Rhodochrosites that compose most of the specimen, and you have a superb and rare display-specimen.
