The now famous Pingwu Mine in China has produced some of the most impressive Cassiterite specimens from any world locality. This piece is an excellent example of these contemporary classics featuring a big group of notably and well-formed, jet black twinned crystals measuring up to 4.1 cm long, which are sitting on Muscovite matrix. The entire display side of the specimen is packed with crystals, and looks beautiful up close and in a display case. There are a few contacted spots, so the piece is not 100% damage free, but there is no major damage, and you honestly can't see the damage until you look closely. It's rare to find a piece with such a rich amount of Cassiterite crystals like this from Pingwu, especially in recent years, as little has been coming out. If you collect Cassiterites or minerals from China, these fantastic specimens are a must-have for your collection, and they will go down in the highest echelons for the species ever found.
