Item Description

Bolivia has probably produced more tin than any other country in the world. The great tin mines at Viloco (sometimes called Araca) have produced some of the most magnificent Cassiterite specimens extant. This particular specimen hosts large, fine, sharp, lustrous, deep honey-brown to black color cyclic twinned crystals. The luster and color are great for the material. These classic specimens from Viloco are simply not seen for sale in today's market very often, especially with BIG GEMMY crystals like this. This is from the material that came out in the 1970s for sure. This piece came to use from an old East Coast Collection and is valued at $900.
