Cavansite is one of those minerals that is really only associated with a single locality, though it's found in other places in the world. It is beloved by collectors and dealers due to the fact that it has one of the most distinctive colors in the mineral world. There might be a fair number of them on the market now, but most are not nearly as fine as this piece, and just like everything else that seemed to be "endless" from other world discoveries, you won't see these pieces forever. Rumors keep swirling as to whether Wagholi is completely flooded and unminable, or if the quarry is being filled in to make room for the ever growing housing market in Pune, but eventually one day there will be no more Cavansite on the market. This piece hosts a gorgeous intergrown cluster of radial "sprays" of glowing intense blue Cavansite sitting atop gemmy, bladed, beige colored Heulandite sitting on basalt matrix. The entire Cavansite aggregate measures 2.6 cm across. No real damage that I can see. Price at $1,750 in the inventory.
