Cavansite with Stilbite and Calcite

This is an aesthetic cluster of Cavansite on drusy Stilbite with great color! The Cavansite cluster measures 3cm across in maximum dimension, is deep teal blue with individual crystals having translucent tips and great luster. The Cavansite contrasts perfectly with the underlying off-white Stilbite blades and a single Calcite rhomb. This species, in such beautiful specimens, occurs in one locality in the world, the Wagholi Quarry in India. Although common in principle, this is a particularly aesthetic specimen with a rich color, great shape, and the bonus calcite gem crystal. Superb miniatures like this go for a premium, and generally $1000-1250 would be seen at a show.
