Item Description
Superb and classic crossed celestine crystals accented with a bit of limestone matrix from Newport. The very glassy, lustrous, translucent to transparent, tabular crystals have classic variable gray-blue color. One of the sharp chisel terminations is light yellow, adding much character. Ex Bill & Anne Cook Collection, well-known Ohio collectors. Bill was Adjunct Curator of Mineralogy at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History for many years. An outstanding USA classic celestine with exceptional form.
