Item Description
Sakoany celestines are generally considered to be the world's most beautiful examples of the species. A striking well-placed 2.0 cm crystal with a classic textbook chisel termination dominates this showy and rich mounded small cabinet specimen. The gemmy, very glassy prisms have rich ice-blue color. The noted periphery wear is certainly acceptable in the context of these specimens, which come from geodes. See the 2010 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 41, No. 5. A showy and highly representative example of the species and famous locale.
