Celestine, Aragonite and Sulfur (old classic)

Classic, sharply terminated, glassy celestine prisms are richly scattered on the dramatic 3-dimensional mounded matrix with complimentary sulfur-coated nubby aragonite on this showy and excellent old-timer from the famous sulfur mines at Agrigento. These glassy crystals, to about 2.0 cm, look like a myriad of towers on a yellow hillside. From an East Coast collection and undoubtedly older material, but no proof. A sculptural and aesthetic combination with several fine display views.
