The Lime City Quarry is well-known for fine Ohio celestine specimens. BUT - this exceptional piece has two parallel-growth EXTREMELY LONG and rare prisms for the locale very aesthetically set on a rich bed of smaller celestines on the sculptural large limestone matrix. The striking large doubly terminated blocky crystal is 6.8 cm long. All of the lustrous, translucent celestines have classic blue-gray color and a few amber calcite rhombs on the right side are a fine accent. VERY CHOICE and RARE large celestines from the locale from the Sandy and Maureen Ludlum Collection, a well-known Ohio collector and dealer. Blue-gray fluorescence.
