Item Description
The great Tsumeb Mine has any number of 'holy grail' species, where if you can find a good one, grab it. Cerrusite is one of those species, and this small cabinet specimen fits the bill. This tabular crystal is beautifully formed, completely gemmy, and the stiations and silky luster give it body. The wheat color is very attractive, and all together these traits make for one outstanding specimen. To add some interest, if you follow the striations you will see that this superb crystal is a fully developed portion of a cyclic twin (sixling). First rate and aesthetic, this Tsumeb Cerrusite is a keeper. it is heavy, sparkly, gemmy, and just impactful in person. 96 grams
