A classic display specimen of Cerussite from the world famous locality of Touissit. This attractive miniature features a beautiful reticulated / twinned pair of smoky crystals with excellent luster and sharp faces plus a slight satiny interior quality. The piece is very well crystallized, and it is in very good shape overall with only a little bit of roughness on the termination of the larger crystal. It's certainty aesthetic as you can see, and you don't often find Cerussites of this size, thickness and quality from this locality on the market anymore! These specimens are no longer being found, and they truly represent some of the most distinctive and eye-catching Cerussites from any world locality. Valued at $950 in the inventory. From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
