Item Description

Cerussite is one of the signature species from Tsumeb, as some of the finest examples of this well-known lead carbonate have been found there. The majority of the Cerussites you'll see from Tsumeb exhibit some kind of twinning, and this piece is a great example as it is a superb, classic, sharp, well-formed, gemmy, soft smoky golden colored twinned crystal group associated with minor green Duftite on matrix. When backlit, the Cerussite crystals show a lovely satiny interior. No major damage, only minor imperfections and very showy. Valued $1,500.
