Item Description
Simply and obviously put, an exceptional 2.5 x 2.5 x 1.2 cm lustrous translucent and doubly-twinned cerussite crystal in the shape of a cross - this is an exceptional twin, an exceptional thumbnail mineral specimen period, and a well known piece that may be virtually unique. Ex Blair and Robyn Gartell, Westaus Mineral Museum, Western Australia, with label, and they obtained it from the John Innes Collection (he was former Tsumeb mine manager). It is impossible to value such a unique specimen, in an appraisal of a collection like the Schauss collection, as iconic pieces like this are literally what lifts and elevates all the others.
