Item Description

When it comes to the world famous Ojuela Mine, collectors will immediately think of the superb quality secondary ore minerals found at this classic locale. With that said, Cerussite is not commonly found at Ojuela even though it's a fairly common secondary ore mineral around the world. This attractive specimen features beautifully reticulated twins of Cerussite measuring up to 1.7 cm across associated with golden metallic cubic Pyrite on matrix. Most of the Cerussites are heavily included with an unknown silvery-grey / grey-green mineral, but there are small areas where the colorless /white Cerussite can be seen and show up well with backlighting. Good shape all around with only minor roughness here and there. This is the first piece of this unusual Cerussite and Pyrite combo that we've had to offer from this mine, and would make a fine addition to any collection of Ojuela specimens, Mexican minerals or worldwide secondary ore minerals. Priced in the inventory at $1,250.
