Item Description

Classic chabazite from this famous Nova Scotia basalt zeolite locale. The sculptural vug is dramatically filled with lustrous, translucent, blocky rust-red crystals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 3247 and acquired from Lucy Bradley in 1963. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Wasson Bluff chabazites are generally considered to be the finest colored examples from any locality and this is an artistic matrix piece.
