Item Description

We never would have expected such a sharp crystal of this rare species of zeolite mineral from Tanzania but on googling it, we found a surprising note that: Chabazite was first discovered in sedimentary rocks by Hay (1964) in tuff and tuffaceous clay in the Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania (according to the International Zeolite Association). This is a large box-filling crystal, composed of a single sharp crystal with surface features that look like a subtle fan of striated faces upon the larger crystal, all translucent, and complete all around. A fine example of a competitive quality rare species.
