Chabazite (var: Phacolite) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A great example of "Phacolite"-twinned Chabazites from the Springfield Quarry in Oregon. A predominant 2.1 cm, sharp, translucent, white colored radial twinned rhombic crystal group of Chabazite is associated with minor Calcite on basalt matrix. Worthwhile for any collector of this material, and certainly hard to find on the market. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2042). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
