Item Description

The Chalcedony specimens from Malawi are very popular on the market, especially in the lapidary world. We picked up a parcel of some very attractive specimens of what has been dubbed as "Blue Holly Agate" last month at the Tucson Show. The actual color is reminiscent of the blue Chalcedony specimens that came out of Blinkpan, Namibia a few years ago. This particular piece is one of the better quality Chalcedony specimens that we've offered from this locality in the auctions. The color is a lovely blue hue with a slight amout of lavender. Most of the time you only seen "chunks" of this material on the market, but this piece is actually CRYSTALLIZED in the center, which actually makes it highly desirable for mineral collectors. For anybody who collects Quartz and its many varieities, this is a piece worth picking up for your collection. A hard to find piece of this unusual and attractive material.
