Item Description

An EXTREMELY RARE and showy pseudomorph (replacement of one mineral with another) from the Lake Pleasant area, that straddles both Yavapai and Maricopa Counties. Chalcedony has replaced a striking intergrown cluster of sharp, partially hollow cubic halite crystals! Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2909 and acquired from Burminco at the San Gabriel Show in 1963. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). We've never seen anything like it! A MUST for the pseudomorph, species or Arizona collector!
