Item Description

A striking multi-hued and multi-layered, translucent, weirdly bulbous chalcedony stalactite from a recent find in Java, Indonesia. The preferential coating on the stalactite is noteworthy. The broken ends reveal the 6 mm, hollow tube in the center, where the silica-rich solutions flowed to form the stalactite. This one has colors from tan to burnt-orange. Colorful and unusual material from an exotic locale for mineral specimens!
