Item Description

What a fine, aesthetic and three-dimensional miniature display specimen of Chalcopyrite featuring a predominant, 3.2 cm, sharp, well-formed, penetration twin with the classic golden-brass color associated with smaller twinned Chalcopyrite crystals of equal quality, plus "needle"-like Quartz crystals and minor Galena and Sphalerite. The main twin is complete all the way around, but there is a tiny nick on the tip of the termination. It still does not take way from overall impact and visceral appeal of this wonderful old time specimen from Peru. It displays very well, and is one of the most eye-catching miniatures of this material that we've had to offer. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #2188).
