Chalcotrichite on Copper (Wes Parker Coll.)

Item Description

A sculptural specimen of intergrown copper plates is richly and attractively covered on both sides with sparkly, brick-red, cuprite variety chalcotrichite microcrystals from the famous Morenci Mine. A few sharp, chalcotrichite-coated, spinel-twinned, copper crystals on one end are a nifty accent. Chalcotrichite is relatively uncommon in specimens from this noted Arizona locale.
