Item Description

Chambersite is an ultra-rare borate found in a few salt domes, worldwide. A RARE, well-crystallized Louisiana mineral! This sharp, translucent, purple, parallel-growth crystal has classic pyramidal form, with good luster. Self-collected by Fred Pough, well-known American mineralogist, curator and author, probably in the 1930s-1950s.
