A 1.1 cm, lustrous, partially gemmy, emerald-green chromian diopside with a sharp termination is nicely set on quartz matrix from the famous Outokumpu Mine of Finland. The partially gemmy crystal has textbook form. The crystal has a nifty iridescent green shimmer. Classic, old-time material from this famous locality and is highly representative of the species and locale. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Valued $300-ish.
