Chrysoprase is a Nickel-bearing variety of Chalcedony, and the best pieces in the world come from Australia. This stone is very good sized, with a soft ocean green hue, but does show more of an apple-green color when backlit. This "Oval Cabochon" cut gem is good sized for the material, and hard to find on the market in recent year. The very best of this material is highly prized by collectors, and this gem is decent quality for Chrysoprase.
