Item Description
An excellent and dramatic large fluorite specimen from the famed Cave-in-Rock area of Southern Illinois. These lustrous, translucent, color-zoned crystals have the classic purple cores with vivid outer bands of dark purple. The backlit photo highlight the distinctive and gorgeous color zoning. The frosted, striking stepped faces really add character. The large cube is 8.1 cm. This piece is in great shape, with only a trivial bit of edge and periphery wear. A worthy and classic Illinois fluorite.
