Item Description

A supremely lustrous crust of scintillating rounded aggregates of bladed, jet-black, clinoclase crystals are aesthetically attached to a small sliver of matrix on this excellent and very showy thumbnail from the famous Majuba Hill Mine. The Majuba Hill Mine is justly famous for secondary copper minerals like clinoclase, an uncommon copper arsenate. The bit of periphery wear reveals the pretty teal-blue color on the underlying clinoclase. Classic, rich and fine quality material from this noted locale from the Robert Whitmore Collection.
