Clinohumite (rare)

Clinohumite is what I would call a relatively uncommon silicate mineral, but it's often dark in color and RARELY forms in gemmy crystals with bright color for faceting. A few years ago a small discovery was made in the Pamir Mountains of Tajikistan, which yielded some of the most spectacular Clinohumite crystals ever seen, both in terms of color and transparency. Many of crystals were cut into stones and set a new standard for the species as a cut gem. This particular stone is a stunning, saturated orange color gem that is nearly eye clean and has a "Round Brilliant" cut. The intense mandarin/"Fanta" orange color is almost unheard of for Clinohumite outside of Tajikistan. This material is extremely difficult to find now as the locality seems to be exhausted and the best stones are long gone. Don't miss this opportunity to add this great rarity to your collection.
