Item Description
Two colorful generations of scintillating, gemmy cobaltoan calcite microcrystals preferentially fill an impressive sculptural vug in the large sturdy gossan matrix from this well-known district in Morocco. One side of the vug is lined with rich magenta crystals, with the other side lined with pretty pink crystals. The magenta crystals cover the earlier generation of pink crystals. Interesting variable crystal chemistry here. Fine form and colors on this showy, rich piece from the Tony Gleckler Collection.
