Cobaltian Calcite

This specimen is simply a solid, piece of neon pink beauty. The photos say it all. This is a STUNNING, hot pink, neon-colored calcite with glowing color and unusual translucency combined with unusually large crystals for the material, from recent finds of the last few years. It is so far above the crowd of "normal quality" that it is like another find altogether, and is gram for gram one of the finest Moroccan pink calcites I have laid hands on. These are, mark my words, undervalued in our time as they come out. This kind of intense color and luster, combined with translucency, just does not occur so often in any species, and it is gorgeous in a case. It does have some very minor damage, a few rubs and small bruises, but all in context. It is 350 grams, and so quite hefty. Note o color. The photography of the piece is difficult...it really IS that saturated. But the coloration on the rind, where it seems a little pinker on the edges, is more accurate on my monitor than the coloration in the center. In any case, the piece is so impressive in person, I will guarantee satisfaction. Valued at ??? $2000-2500
