Scintillating, shocking pink, spherical aggregates of calcite microcrystals fully line the sculptural vug in sawed matrix on this intensely colorful, fabulous, large specimen. This is about the most vibrant pink calcite we have seen from any worldwide locale. Essentially pristine. Those are clusters of glassy, colorless calcite microcrystals on the pink calcite. Old-time material from the 1970s or 80s and very rarely on the market with this amazing color, quality and form. This piece was found with others in the storage unit of deceased dealer Gilbert Gauthier, at Tucson of 2012. Valued for scintillating neon color, and size, at $1500-2000
