Item Description

A hard to find specimen of beautiful "root beer" colored Colemanite from the Kestelek Mine in Turkey. The crystals are actually twinned incredibly sharp, lustrous faces which measure up to 1.0 cm on a thin layer of matrix. Most of the crystals are in good condition, with minimal damage. Typically Colemanite is white / colorless, so when you find crystals with this beautiful rich color, it's a big deal. If you look closely, you can see there is actually a slight overgrowth of GEMMY colorless Colemanite over the original crystals. From the small, one-time 2005 find. RARE on the market today.
