Item Description

Collinsite is a rare hydrated phosphate and this showy, thin crust is from the Type Locality in Canada. Four or five, thin blades of glassy collinsite, colorless or tinted green, are scattered on the matrix of bubbly, botryoidal, green, quercyite. Two are near the hole on the right side and three can be seen on the left side, including the largest, a vertical crystal. Quercyite is a an improperly categorized phosphate of calcium and is a carbonate-rich form of hydroxylapatite. VERY rare on the market. Old material from the Dennis Mullane Collection and comes with a The Bradleys label with an August, 1951 date written on it!
