Item Description
In the gem world, there are some stones that will change (or at least shift) colors depending upon the temperature of the light under which they are viewed. A big favorite of many collectors are the rare color change Garnets. Some of the better known contemporary example are those from the Tunduru District in Tanzania. This stone exhibits a nice with a peachy-orange color in incandescent lighting which shifts to a beautiful orange-red color under halogen lighting. Please note that this stone displays a different color in different kinds of lighting, which includes halogen lighting, fluorescent lighting, and incandescent lighting. We did our best to show the shift in the hotos. This is a superb nearly eye clean, "Oval" cut gem that is worthy of any collection. Don't miss out on this one, it's beautiful in person.
