Item Description

Classic, large, color-zoned, fluorite cubes to 7.0 cm form a striking and excellent CABINET specimen from the famous Denton Mine. Intense, grape-purple interiors are overlain by pretty water-blue exteriors on the translucent crystals. Crystals faces are preferentially highly lustrous, with micro stepped-growth to matte, low luster. A trivial bit of edgewear to the large cubes are noted, but is a modest detraction. Classic, highly representative material from this noted locale, mined in 1994, according to the accompanying label. Right at the end of active mining in this renowned district.
