Item Description
This very cute thumbnail features a sculptural pair on interpenetrating glassy, gem light-blue fluorite cubes, to 1.8 x 1.5 cm, with striking dark purple edge phantoms. The cubes are aesthetically flanked and rest on contrasting quartz crystals and dolomite rhombs. The impressive and dramatic large quartz point is 2.3 cm tall. Very nearly pristine, the large cube has only trivial barely noticeable edge wear. Modest purple fluorescence. See the 2011 Mineralogical Record article in China-III Special Issue, Vol. 42, No. 6. Another very fine thumbnail fluorite combination of this color and style from the famed Yaogangxian Mine.
