Item Description

Coloradoite is a rare mercury telluride named for the type localities which are in Colorado and altaite is an uncommon lead telluride. Three parallel veins in calcite and quartz matrix consist mainly of coloradoite with minor altaite and sparkly microcrystalline pyrite. Very rich and rare ore from this obscure Boulder County mine. A must for the locality or species collector. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection.
