A RARE specimen of Columbite-(Fe) / Columbite-(Mn) from the Fano Mine (Fano-Simmons Mine) featuring sharp, well-formed, lustrous, jet black colored crystals free of matrix. The piece is not completely damage free, but when it comes to this material, they're virtually nonexistent on the market, so you can forgive the imperfections on this piece. If you collect California minerals, this is a great piece to check off your list as they haven't been available for decades, and you can only get them from old collections like this.
