Item Description

A textbook thumbnail orthorhombic columbite crystal from this well-known Madagascar pegmatite. The lustrous jet-black crystal has a striking sharp and typical chisel termination, that adds artistic flair. The bit of bruising on one side is certainly acceptable in the context of this pegmatite species. Excellent material from the David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
