Item Description

A large, hefty, euhedral, blocky, columbite-(Mn) crystal is richly encrusted on all sides with straw-yellow upalite, a VERY RARE hydrated U-phosphate. Mineral specimens from this less well-known Colorado pegmatite district are rare and are seldom on the market. A large euhedral columbite with this rich upalite coverage is RARE. Hefty at 598 grams or 1.3 pounds mass! A must for the Colorado or species collector. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection.
