Item Description

It is rare to find well-developed crystals of Colusite from the famous mines at Butte, for which the East Colusa Mine is the Type Locality - though this piece is erroneously labeled as coming from the Type Locality being the West Colusa Mine. This excellent specimen features micro well-formed silvery bronze colored modified octahedral / dodecahedral crytstals on Quartz matrix Colusite is a rare copper, vanadium, arsenic, tin, antimony, sulfosalt and specimens like this are few and far between on the market.
