Item Description

Classic, rich blue-green colored botryoidal Cookeite "balls" measuring up to 2 mm sitting atop gemmy, lustrous, colorless Quartz crystal matrix. On the side of the piece you can see a very rare "Faden" group of Quartz crystals measuring 3.2 cm. "Faden" is the German word for string, and you can see that the crystals have formed around a center "thread" at the center of the group. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12541). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
