Item Description

An unusual and showy pseudomorph combination from famed Tsumeb. Malachite-coated copper has casted a 2.3 cm portion of a large calcite rhomb, which is aesthetically set on matrix covered with glassy, colorless complex calcite rhombs. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8230 and acquired from the Lidstrom's in 1977 at the Tucson Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A fine looking pseudo with multiple display views. A must for the locality or pseudomorph collector.
