Item Description
A RARE post-mining copper artifact from the famous Ray Mine. Striking iridescent red and golden, nubby copper with 3-dimensional form comprises the front of the sculptural piece. The flat back of the piece reveals that copper-rich solutions precipitated, post-mining, onto a mine timber at an edge. Here the copper looks spinel-twinned with dentritic form. This surreal piece is solid copper and is RARE on the market in this size and quality. This is an important historical post-mining artifact from this renowned Arizona mine. 276 grams mass. Value?? A MUST for the locality, species or mining history collector.
