Item Description

Ed David had a collection rich in coppers, when I purchased it in 2005. I had "misplaced" several of them in a drawer for 2 years, which is something of an embarrassment I admit but now here they are, and amortised so that I can afford to put some of them out to liquidation auctions now. This is an extremely elegant, classic style for the Phoenix Mine, which hit its heyday over 100 years ago in the late 1800s. It is a tall, feathery specimen that is sturdy, but look sfragile and elegant. Ed's catalogue notes: Dendritic crystal tree * * Phoenix Mine, Eagle River * Keweenaw County * Michigan * USA * * February 16,2002 * Gene Schlepp - $3800.
