Item Description

Crystallized Coppers are beloved from the famous Ray Mine in Arizona. This piece is a wonderful example of the classic material featuring bright, complex modified crystals of Copper on all sides. The piece has a lovely iridescent patina along with minor areas of blood red Cuprite and what I'm assuming is Calcite. The piece looks great under magnification and would make a great addition to any native elements suite or an Arizona mineral collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Valued at $1500.
