The Itauz Mine, at times when the strip mining has come back around to the specimen-producing zone, has produced some of the finest crystallized coppers ever seen, from anywhere. This floater miniature is particularly wonderful, with fine form, beautiful fins and spinel twins all over. The patina, luster and deep furrowed spines of the spinel twins on both sides are outstanding, as are the super-sharp tetrahexahedral crystals, some hoppered. The black tenorite coating on the backside actually adds character. A real substantial copper with outstanding aesthetics. Valued at $750
