Item Description

An attractive, sculptural, aborescent floater group of copper crystals tightly intergrown to create this eye-catching, aesthetic display specimen. The bright variable patina of the mostly nubby, tetrahexahedral crystal ranges from coppery to a lustrous, iridescent golden-coppery. The pine cone-looking, compound crystals reach 1.3 cm. The very bright metallic patina along with the artistic appearance makes this a highly representative example of copper from this famous mining district. Ex Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection. This piece could be from the 1950s or 60s, or be much older.
